The Creepy Pennsylvania Department of Revenue Video

This is one of the creepier videos I’ve seen in a while.

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue is advertising a tax amnesty program, encouraging its citizens to pay back taxes by waiving penalties and halving the interest. The usual.

What’s unusual is the ad itself, which adopts a “we know where you live” theme, complete with Google Maps to get the point across.

We use “Big Brother” so often it’s become a literary and political cliche. That’s why it’s all the more unnerving to see Orwell translated and applied in – of all places – Pennsylvania.

H/T to Maine Freedom Forum on the vid.
