I don’t think Hope ‘n Change had a good time yesterday with Brett Baier of Fox News. When he tried to filibuster as usual, Baier interrupted and brought him back to the question at hand. In spite of the obvious friction, Baier was able to get him to admit his unconcern with the Slaughter Rule – otherwise known as “deem and pass”.
I thought the interview was – for Hope ‘n Change – pretty dreadful. He was defensive to the point of stammering as Baier bored in. As usual, he was terrible with the details while admitting that he – the President of the United States – doesn’t even know what’s in the bill that even now is being gamed to get the best possible CBO score.
And then there was this WTF moment:
The most charitable view of the Hawaii reference was to the Chilean earthquake that caused a tsunami that hit Hawaii – or did it? Or maybe Baier simply had thrown him off his game completely.
The Fox panel clearly was appalled by his performance – both A.B. Stoddard and Juan Williams thought that he was more defensive and uncomfortable than they’d ever seen him. And why wouldn’t he be? Unless the man is a complete sociopath – and the jury’s still out on that – he should feel uncomfortable about the shafting he and his radical friends are trying to give the country.
For a quick montage of the whole sordid, arm-twisting ObamaCare mess, here a short clip for your enjoyment.
