Al Gore Reappears – as Strange as Ever

After disappearing from view after the Copenhagen debacle, Al Gore’s apparently returned to the land of the living – sort of – by offering a maundering opinion piece in Sunday’s New York Times. He continues to speak of “unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it” and the “criminality” of the current generation.

It’s his story, I suppose, and he’s sticking to it. Read it all – it’s a vivid look into the psychopathology and self-delusion of the same troubled man who delivered an unhinged rant to the Tennessee Democrat Party in February 2004.

In larger terms, however, Gore has to stick to his story even as the entire AGW edifice comes tumbling down. Given his potential exposure to investment fraud charges on his various carbon credit schemes, he probably has to.
