JetBlue Announces Idiotic New Federal Regulations

In my prior post, I mentioned the new “arrangements” put into effect after the crotch bomber’s failed attempt at urban renewal in Detroit.

The new regulations make us virtual prisoners in our seats – no TV, no restroom, no blankets, no reading materials, hands where we can see ‘em. Here’s the announcement from a JetBlue pilot recorded yesterday (H/T to Allah at HotAir):

This is so typical. The “system” was supposed to keep the bomber off the plane in the first place. Here are a few of the failures:

The bomber’s own father rats him out. Yet the bomber’s name doesn’t go on the “right” list.
The bomber pays cash for a one-way ticket.
He flies under his own name.
He apparently gets on the plane without a passport after assistance from an older man at the ticket counter in Schipol Airport.

Yet, the bureaucratic response is to punish all instead of identifying the guilty. We can’t – as Jeffrey Goldberg points out – even use our laptops after they’ve been screened.

This is rank stupidity. As noted by The Other McCain, who’s the enemy? The terrorists or us?
