One of Hope ‘n Change’s most annoying characteristics is his incessant whining about the prior administration. His mewling was prominently on display yesterday in his Brookings speech. To hear him tell it, he’s a victim of George W. Bush and Republican spendthrifts. It’s all their fault.

Let’s unpack this, shall we?

First, while I can’t defend Republican spending practices early in the decade, it’s a fact that Democrats have controlled Congress since January 2007. And Hope ‘n Change was there, voting with the majority.

Second, prior deficits pale in comparison to those under his watch – and he’s pushing even more reckless spending that will abuse our children and grandchildren. A CBO graph tells the story:

Third, his whining shows a distinct lack of manhood. Blaming others is not an attractive trait at any age and his continual harping fails to impress.

In his monologue yesterday, Rush Limbaugh discussed Hope ‘n Change’s speech – and his immaturity – at length. Via Breitbart:

Karl Rove likewise had a few choice comments about the speech – also via Breitbart:

Is it any wonder that Hope ‘n Change’s poll numbers are tanking? It’s hard to admire this behavior.
