But in the end, he’s pure Chicago. From Amy Chozick’s Wall Street Journal blog back in June:

That’s exactly what Barack Obama said he would do to counter Republican attacks “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said at a Philadelphia fundraiser Friday night. “Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”
And that’s what he’s doing. First, the snitch network. From Jeff Emanuel at Red State:
If you see anybody publicly opposing President Obama’s plan to implement a government-centric overhaul of the health care system, the White House wants you to report that person (or persons) ASAP.

As Emanuel notes, “the term ‘disinformation’ is used by the Obama White House as a catchall to describe any opposition to the President’s push for single-payer, government-run health care — meaning the White House wants to be informed of any forwarded emails or blog posts or any “casual conversations” that could be taken as opposition to their health care overhaul plan.”
And as if on cue, Hope ‘n Change’s thug allies are starting to attack. Here’s the Democrat National Committee by communique and video:
I’m waiting for the ads from government-sector unions. Oh, wait. Government-sector unions are the DNC.
