By almost any measure, Richard Cheney is Barack Obama’s superior. As far as I’m concerned, there are very few men in or out of the government who compare to Cheney in intellect, clarity, integrity and simple eloquence. I’ve been a fan since Cheney’s days as Defense Secretary under Bush XLI.
Cheney is supposed to be in retirement and he certainly doesn’t need the grief, but he’s decided to speak out against a government determined to undermine the national interest while promoting its own moral superiority to the Bush administration. And Cheney clearly worries Hope ‘n Change, whose thin skin is becoming the stuff of legend. Hope ‘n Change doesn’t like back talk. He’s not used to it and it clearly irritates him.
So when Cheney scheduled a major speech at the American Enterprise Institute on counter-terrorism during the Bush years, Hope ‘n Change immediately moved to preempt Cheney with a speech of his own. His child-like behavior did not go unnoticed.
But here is the great Dick Cheney – the man reviled by every sweat lodge leftist in ‘Amerika’. None of them can deal with Cheney’s intellect and eloquence, so they’re reduced to vile insults – much to the amusement of guys like me who’ve always known that undisciplined leftists – motivated by grievance and rogue passions – will always be outmatched in a stand-up fight.

Dick is great and have you heard his daughter Liz? WOW! She is as thoughtful, articulate, and clear-headed as her dad. She should be holding seminars on conservatism for the pathetic lot of elected Republicans wasting our time and money in Washington.
