If you’re not a reader of the Washington Examiner, you should be. While it’s the new kid on the Washington DC block, it’s hired some top-notch talent, including Byron York and now, Michael Barone, whose knowledge of the minutiae of American politics is legendary. The paper seems to be attracting serious blogger talent as well. The print edition is distributed free in the DC area, but can also be read online.
I can well understand York’s and Barone’s move to this upstart publication. It’s fun to ride the wave of a happening, entrepreneurial newbie, particularly if you’re secure in your own career. Both York and Barone are quality guys – the genuine article – and their presence lends instant credibility and saleability to the venture.
Long live the Examiner!
