Sunday Morning Durham

I haven’t done a ‘Sunday Morning Durham’ posting in some time, so here it is. Again, the production values aren’t great, but it’s majestic nevertheless. Note that this vid is taken during rain and heavy overcast – which is all too typical of Durham weather.

In my years there, I came to believe there were two Durhams. There was ‘sunny Durham’ – rare but enjoyable – when the sky was blue and the ancient stone glowed. I always had a warm feeling and all was right with the world. But then there was ’cloudy Durham’ – all too common – when the same ancient stones would turn dark and foreboding and I would contemplate antidepressant therapy.

Here’s cloudy Durham.
