The tip-off, I suppose, was his friendliness with outfits like Vlaams Belang. In the video below he says that when it comes to Israel’s fight in Gaza, we should ‘be on neither side’, yet his sympathies appear to be with Hamas and Iran. I like the crack about Iran helping Hamas since the U.S. is helping Israel. I don’t know what some people see in this guy.

I listened to this guy talk during the Republican primaries. He’s one of these people who just makes enough sense to get by. But I always had the feeling that he had a program (to use computer parlance) running in the background of his brain that was seriously flawed. Unfortunately I had the same feeling about John McCain.
